This year I am proud to be a part in The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap! I’ve been wanting to get involved for a few holiday seasons now, but I always managed to forget about it until it was too late.
NOT THIS YEAR!
This year I whipped up some awesome Vanilla Latte Biscotti and shipped them all over the US to three lovely food bloggers. In return, I received some lovely cookies from three other food bloggers.
I received some lovely Snickerdoodles from Lissa of The Flourishing Baker, some Pumpkin Butter Shortbread Cookies from Coleen of The Redhead Baker, and finally some Brown Butter Salted Caramel Snickerdoodles from Kristen of Babcakes Bakery.
It was a cookie fest of epic proportions and I loved every minute of it!
What I love the most, though, is that all of us food bloggers can come together and bake for a cause: Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. When all of us give back, even just a teeny bit, it really adds up to a wonderful donation that helps tons of kids fighting a terrible disease.
Cookies and fighting for good causes, what more could you want this holiday season?
…I guess the ability to reach into the computer screen and grab any/all of the cookies you will see on the internet today.
But trust me when I say that you will want to whip up a batch of these Biscotti this holiday season! Just one batch yields over two dozen biscotti, and they are THE best cookie to dip into all of the coffee, cocoa, tea, and other assorted cozy warm beverages you enjoy on cold winter evenings.
A little drizzle of chocolate, and you instantly have a gorgeous holiday gift for friends or even family members who live far away. They keep rather well when shipped (as I’ve found out thanks to this cookie swap!).
Be sure to check out all the other awesome bloggers who are participating in the cookie swap today! Just search “cookie swap” or check out Love and Olive Oil and The Little Kitchen’s blogs for more information.
