How was this winter been treating you?
Winter has been kind of grouchy and grumpy here in NJ. We had nights that dipped into the negative teens last week, and the wind chill is pretty much out to get me the moment I step outside my front door.
Apparently I should just stay inside my apartment and eat lots of scones until a certain groundhog totally says we are having spring in six weeks and not more winter.
If he knows what’s good for him!
Poor groundhog – so much responsibility for such a tiny critter.
Anyways, these scones. You want to make them. They will make your whole home smell like fresh cinnamon buns and make it toasty to boot!
I adore cinnamon buns but I definitely do not enjoy the amount of work required for them. I figured I could make a cinnamon bun scone that brings all my favorite flavors to the table in a fraction of the time, and friends…
IT TOTALLY WORKED!
These cinnamon bun scones are super easy to make with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry. The only somewhat specialty ingredient would be cinnamon chips, but they are totally worth picking up the next time you are at the grocery store.
Dunking these scones in your morning cup of coffee will sending you swooning, I assure you. They also pair well with a steaming up of hot cocoa!
Or if you’re dealing with the mid-day sweet cravings at work, bring one of these cinnamon bun scones with you to the office! Everyone will be mad jealous of your awesome scone skills.
I know I would be.
