You know, I can’t believe I am typing these words to you now.
I never though I’d say it, or even admit to it
I AM AN INTERNATIONAL DIAMOND THIEF.
Sorry. No. That’s not right. We all know I’m not coordinated or in any way stealthy…
I AM A SUPER SECRET SPY!
Nope. Again, issues of secrecy: I shout too much.
What was it I was going to tell you…
Oh,wait, I remember now.
YOUR PUMPKIN LORD IS TIRED OF PUMPKINS!
This one is definitely not a joke: I never thought it’d happen, but like many of my fellow bloggers who jump at the chance of pumpkin-everything once October hits, I think the pumpkin craze may be dissipating for yours truly.
Though I bet for some of you there is a collective sigh of relief happening at this very moment. For my readers who do not fall prey to the pumpkin lord, I thank you for your patience this month. 😉
ALTHOUGH – I do have one last perfect pumpkin recipe to share with you today.
This is the last one; I promise.
Well, I promise to try my best to make this the last pumpkin recipe: Thanksgiving is in a month and it should make an appearance but…
here is the last pumpkin recipe On Sugar Mountain.
I bring you Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Blondies!
Rich chocolate-chip studded bars with autumnal hints of brown sugar, pumpkin puree, and the last of my homemade pumpkin pie spice…
I offer it as tribute to the Pumpkin Lord: may
the odds be ever in her favor she eat it all and disappear gracefully until next October.
Though, I feel I must warn you, these pumpkin blondies are good…
I mean really good.
As in, so good, it may turn non-pumpkin lovers into crazy out-of-control- pumpkin-o-philes, which could cause a whole new wave of pumpkin lords to take over.
Just saying: it’s totally not my fault.
Nope. Definitely not.
I do hope that when you are perusing the internet for pumpkin-centered Thanksgiving recipes (can you believe it’s really just about a month away!) you come back and try out any of the ones I made this October!
With that, I say Farewell to Pumpkin, and welcome every food blogger’s favorite holiday into my heart…
Why hello Thanksgiving; it’s been too long. <3
See you Friday!
