This cold simply will not quit. Did it not get the memo that I am supposed to be blogging about delicious sweet treats?
Does it think it will keep me from sharing spicy-sweet Chai Spice Latte Truffles with you?
NOT TODAY, COLD. YOU HAVE NOT BESTED ME YET.
(pause for cough and sniffle)
Well, it may have bested me a bit. But only in that it will keep me from rambling on too much about how incredibly easy these truffles are to make and how you should go whip up a few hundred to enjoy all autumn long.
Autumn hits and we are all ready to jump on the Pumpkin Spice bandwagon, that is if we haven’t secretly been on said bandwagon since late August. However, I’ve always found chai tea and the spices surrounding it to be incredibly fall-related.
Warm, spicy cinnamon, earthy nutmeg, with hints of cardamom, cloves, and ginger, come together in chai tea to warm you up on chilly nights (soon to be chilly days). So for today’s recipe, I thought I’d bring all these comforting flavors together in a super simple, no-bake recipe for Chai Spice Latte Truffles!
These white chocolate truffles are flavored with real masala chai tea, and plenty of cinnamon, nutmeg, and other chai spices to remind you of your favorite Chai Latte!
Whenever I’m feeling like something sweeter later in the day, but don’t feel like whipping up cookies (or digging into ice cream), I turn to chai lattes. They are the perfect combination of spicy and sweet to satisfy my sweet tooth, and these truffles do exactly that in just one bite.
They are also super easy to make: simply heat heavy cream and butter together, throw in a whole chai tea bag and spices, then pour over a bit of white chocolate.
It’s that simple. I mean, there is that terrible part where you have to stick it in the fridge and wait
forever an hour for the truffle mixture to set up. But you are rewarded for your patience with over a dozen adorable chai latte truffles, speckled with real chai tea and as creamy as a real latte.
You also get to show off to all your friends and be like “look at these truffles I made the other day.”
They’ll be all like “ooooh…aaaaah” and you’ll be the only one who knows how simple they were to prepare.
It’ll be our little secret. 😉
I’ll be back on Monday with a new Broke Food Blogger recipe, so if you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to our mailing list to get the recipe right to your inbox on Monday morning!
Have a lovely weekend!
