Apple Lovers’ Bread

With fresh apples, apple butter, applesauce and an apple cider drizzle, this Apple Lovers’ Bread is just what you need to welcome Autumn into your home!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease one 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and spices until well combined.

In a separate, smaller bowl, whisk together oil, applesauce, apple butter, milk, and egg. Pour this mixture over the flour mixture and begin to stir with a large wooden spoon until a few streak of flour remain. Fold in apples.

Pour apple bread mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes, or until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10-15 minutes, then carefully remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

!While the bread cools, make the drizzle:

Whisk together the powdered sugar and cider until a smooth and thick glaze forms. If you want it thinner, add a little more cider. If you want it thicker, add a little more powdered sugar. Once it is the consistency you want, drizzle it over the top of the bread either with a spoon or pour it into a plastic bag, snip off a small corner, and pipe it over the bread.
